Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how deposits, cancellations and refunds work for renovation projects booked with Simba Renovations.
1. Quotations
Quotations are free and carry no obligation. You may decline a quote at any time before accepting it, at no cost.
2. Deposits
Once a quote is accepted, a deposit (typically 40–60% of the project value, agreed in writing) is required to secure your booking and procure materials. Work begins once the deposit reflects in our account.
3. Cancellation by the client
- More than 7 days before the agreed start date: the deposit is refundable, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred (for example, custom-cut materials or supplier deposits).
- Within 7 days of the start date: the deposit becomes non-refundable, as materials and labour have been scheduled.
- After work has started: the client is liable for all work completed, materials purchased and a fair allowance for time set aside. Any unused balance is refunded.
4. Cancellation by Simba Renovations
If we cancel a project before starting (for reasons such as unforeseen capacity issues), your deposit is refunded in full within 14 business days.
5. Defects and rework
If you are not satisfied with workmanship, contact us within 14 days of project completion. We will inspect the issue and, where it is a legitimate workmanship defect, rectify it at no extra cost. Refunds for workmanship are considered only where the defect cannot reasonably be repaired.
6. Materials
Custom-ordered materials (cabinetry, made-to-measure tops, special-order tiles, etc.) are non-refundable once ordered from the supplier.
7. How to request a refund
Email info@simbarenovations.co.za with your name, project address, invoice/quote reference and the reason for the request. Approved refunds are paid by EFT within 14 business days.
